This statement was created in my first semester as I began my teaching journey. As I enter my final semester and reflect on this paper I realize that many of the values reflected within it have stayed the same, especially in relation to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which I still find is at the forefront of my mind as I teach. I know over the course of my teaching career these values will change, but for the moment I want to try my best to live up to the ideals of this paper, with students at the forefront, as I enter my career.
